I'm a Gen Xer and for nearly all my childhood both my parents worked. Oftentimes one or both had a second job. Dad was a med professor, mom was an RN. Professionals w advanced degrees.

This didn't happen. The perception that it did is largely based on fictional shows that were about rich people. Much more common was a household where one person (theoretically Dad in a het household) was the higher earner and paid the housing costs and the other paid utilities & food

Imagine a sitting member of Congress tweeting that. You can't. Thankfully, it'd never happen. And *if* it did, it'd be the end of their career and the biggest story in America.

But Ogles can say this about Muslims without any censure.

The point is the "messiness" of the "fight," you see. This is a combination of sports reporting and theater criticism. As usual.

And if they keep insisting that everything is debatable, and that the story is always the debate, they can continue dashing off easy, shallow pieces like this.

I know people are very sensitive about the use of the word “genocide” but the attempts to medically eliminate trans children is very clearly meets the standard because they are trying to eliminate a population and also they know some of those kids are going to kill themselves
