I watched it again recently - it's still an extraordinary piece of work.

My neighbour, Maggie, left this on my doorstep. Is is a criticism ... or just a present?
Here is the muse, from Leith.
The resident Water of Leith/Victoria Bridge Swan is niw reclaiming her nest. Let's hope for another successful breading season in '26. It's a spring/summer joy to see her and her mate raise cygnets.
Leith, old and new. I love the way its history as a port is carved into the architecture.
The Screen Machine is a beloved, large, blue, mobile cinema which tours the Highlands and Islands. Due to low demand, screening of Melania is relocated to an appropriate venue.
I might use that! 😃
And so it begins ... 2026, and a blank document! Oh well, arse in chair ...
Jim's first walk of the year to Port Charlotte lighthouse on Islay.
Christmas Eve flat window on The Shore, Leith.
I've already eaten my annual Brussel sprout - just to get it over with and not have the threat of it spoiling Christmas.
Hope you didn't post it!
When the great extinction happens all that will be left are cockroaches and ...
Traffic congestion on Islay this morning.
Refacted Sunshine on Leith Walk.
👍
Haste ye back, Stuart.
Four weekd of it. Only just recovering. 😫
Here is my Dad, Harry Wilson - standing third from the left. He'd be 103 today. He made it to 88 - but was lucky to make it 22, flying 45 sorties as a Lancaster bomb aimer. His story is told in my book, Ghosts in Pencil, from Aviation Books.
The Kirk's decision is a disgrace. I filmed a documentary about Gibbon's Sunset Song there once. His descriptions of the interior are wonderful: '... with three bit creatures of queans, not very decent-like in a kirk, as window pictures.' This is a historic and cultural site not to be flogged off.
Elsbeth contributed to a number of our documentaries at Caledonia TV. She was erudite, inspiring, and had a wickedly dry sense of humour. Our hearts go out to her much loved partner, Michael.
Good old Glasgow!
Good old Glasgow!
Today I received my author's copies of Ghosts in Pencil, a one-man's-war story of a working-class Glasgow boy who flew 45 missions as a Lancaster bomb-aimer - from the Battle of Berlin to D-Day in an elite Pathfinder squadron.
On Amazon - or better still, order from a local bookshop.
This is Jim's first outing on Bluesky. He's an upcycled sheepdog (actually, scared of sheep), and winner of this year's Holyrood Dog of the Year. Recently, he peed on a parked Tesla. He's a good boy.
Edinburgh's magic shop is about to vanish - as I am from Twitter (I could never thole calling it X). Hello Bluesky.
