Really good art and panelling and is worth it for that alone. The stories are short but they all feel complete and never felt rushed. However Vol 2 unfortunately has a weird anti abortion chapter which was strange. Would still like to see more stories featuring filipino mythos.

It kills me because it's not like they are incapable of making good fat characters. They made Jiang and despite still being themed around food it isn't used in a way to disrespect his fatness or his character and iT KILLS ME, IT KILLS ME, I FEEL LIKE WATER IS BEING DANGLED IN FRONT OF MY FACE

Every good ficitional pair needs one person who’s going all in on a gambling table and another who finds them and drags them away either just before they win big or just after losing everything.

YAYYY I’m glad the censors felt connected to the theme of grief, really wanted to showcase the disconnect between what Eben is narrating and how he’s actually feeling. It’s definitely my fav aspect of this comic haha

And just to soften the blow a little further, Czerny and Ebenholz were indeed happy, Eben is just being unkind to himself here LMAO
