Well, after six years of loyal service (and multiple trips around the world) my MacBook has officially died. Fortunately the hard drive and data can be retrieved, but I’ve become a creature of habit and will miss my ‘ideal’ set-up. Here’s to limping along with my iPad while I figure out what’s next.
A wonderful and timely reflection on the legend that is Before Sunrise. For those of us who aged alongside the film, it’s a reminder of how much things (and we ourselves) have changed over the years. Well worth a read, followed by a rewatch.

I’m feeling a little despondent about the world today. As much as it helps to stay informed, it makes me more aware of how much greed, pride + vitriol controls things. It’s also a healthy reminder for me to switch off + not pay attention to everything that’s going on - sometimes we can take a break.

It’s from the ‘60s, but sadly no 8-track player - just a gorgeous record player that has stood the test of time and still dazzles today. 🌟
Soundtracks are particularly good for this purpose, I think. I just need to get some more in my collection.
No ‘Wrapped’ at the end of the year though, so you just have to remember what you listened to most (or not) - haha.
That’s not a bad option for short tasks, but I find the 20-25 mins goes quick enough as is. 😅
I would try that, but I’d end up way too caffeinated! 😵💫

It’s pretty darn good! The previous owner kept it well looked after and serviced, so I’ll make sure to do the same. It ‘sounds’ like a record player, but really fills the room, y’know?
