Also, many of the displaced found shelter in such hotels. These attacks will ultimately lead to more panic and fear that will finally intensify a problem that already exists: people and places denying shelter. Also the message is clear: no place is safe in #Beirut.
Remember, the hotels are full of people who’ve fled, the displaced, and folks who, already has rooms took people in.
This is the first strike during this war that they hit the inner circle of Beirut. Until now, this area has been considered a safe neighborhood and district. Many of the displaced built up their shelters nearby at the Corniche. Horrific. #Lebanon #Beirut

What is there more to say beyond rage.
They want to "evacuate" one of the densest suburbs of Beirut and have a quarter of a million+ people just move elsewhere and accept the fate of the destruction of their homes or worse the loss of their life.

This is unprecedented compared to the last war. It’s terrifying. If this means aerial Bombardements, this will lead to a even bigger displacement and Gaza like destruction of Beiruts Southern Suburbs. This has to stop now!

Yes, we know and have known there are different rules and standards when it comes to our humanity. No one can continue to pretend we are seen equally or that we have the same rights to life, dignity, safety, etc.
Most of the world is focused on Iran or the GCC. Haven’t heard much from international actors comment on Israel reclosing entry into Gaza or the disproportional response Israel is committing on Lebanon through mass displacement and constant attacks

The Iranian regime is an autocratic one that has devastated lives at home and abroad. Its people deserve so much better.
So much better does not come through illegal strikes involving a genocidal actor that drag multiple countries into conflict and kill more civilians.
The US and Israel are bombing Iran. Anyone reporting it as “preventive” is engaging in propaganda, by definition. There is no interpretation of what’s happening as anything else than a crime.
You don’t have to like the Iranian regime to understand why this is bad.
