The other main reason I think they should’ve called a strike immediately and aggressively is that there is a certain level of cognitive dissonance created by saying you’re getting swindled while also refusing to call a strike. I know they are indeed being swindled, but they aren’t acting like it.
For what it’s worth, i think the WNBPA should’ve called a strike the first chance it had in November, for a lot of reasons but the biggest one is there was a genuine groundswell of support behind the players at the time. I still think they’d win the PR battle, but it was a walkover back then.
