I almost forgot one of the Kraft boys running for mayor of Boston at the same time, purely coincidentally, that they were negotiating with the city for a new Revs stadium. Actions over words.
In 1998, Kraft tried to move the Patriots to Hartford. In 2012 he tried to push through a casino adjacent to the stadium, including trying to get a slate of Selectmen elected. Whatever good will he’s had he’s always been happy to piss away. No reason to trust him.

The town has dealt with the Krafts for 3 decades, so their skepticism here is born from experience, not from wanting to be a roadblock.
