It should be perfectly hardy in the garden.

The vivid purple flowers of the holoparasite, Lathraea clandestina, or purple toothwort, here growing on the roots of Salix purpurea, the purple willow. #fairviewyearround
I bought this Corydalis leucanthema ‘Silver Spectre’ late last year and have kept it in the greenhouse so far. It is in full flower now, with a fabulous scent. The leaves aren’t too shoddy either, however on a small plant it can look a bit like mildew. #fairviewyearround
Very cool, especially to find all five.
Corydalis cava in a shady raised bed, mostly self-sown seedlings from an original white-flowered plant. Very sweetly scented. #fairviewyearround
Is he not been paid a fortune by Trump? He won’t want to jeopardise that.
Crocus ‘Rainbow Gold’
Ribes laurifolium in the top garden, this was bought as a young plant at Knightshayes Court many years ago. #fairviewyearround
The snowdrops on the verge are virtually over, but the daffodils are just starting. #fairviewyearround
The hellebores on the bank are starting to flower, but they are not as good as previous years. #fairviewyearround
The snowdrop season is nearly at an end and so here are a few selections to extend the season by a few weeks. ‘David Shackleton’, ‘Polar Bear’, ‘E.A.Bowles’ and ikariae. #fairviewyearround

Some views in the garden on a lovely, sunny afternoon. Narcissus cyclamineus, Daphne bholua and Corydalis cava. #fairviewyearround

About time too, the whole cull was based on poor scientific evidence and an unwillingness to vaccinate cattle. The programme with Brian May was very informative. Foxes, raptors, magpies and others are all persecuted through ignorance.
Hepatica nobilis on the log shed green roof. #fairviewyearround
Crocus ‘Rainbow Gold’, a fabulous hybrid between Crocus cvijicii and C. veluchensis. A decent potful was decimated by mice/voles a couple of years ago, thankfully they left one or two corms. #fairviewyearround
Nice to see the crocuses open up today, clearly warm enough despite little sunshine. #fairviewyearround
The beautiful and sweetly scented Helonias thibetica (syn. Ypsilandra thibetica) coming into flower in a woodland border. A few years ago these plants were decimated by deer, but thankfully they are recovering. #fairviewyearround
An unnamed pterugiform (ipoc) snowdrop from Anne Wright’s breeding programme that has proved to be a good doer. #fairviewyearround
Galanthus rizehensis (photo 1) in cultivation is often small and shy flowering, however the cultivar Baytop 34474 (photo 2) is much more robust and a good garden plant. It was found in the 1970s by Prof. Baytop and is triploid. #fairviewyearround
Galanthus woronowii ‘Rodmarton Capella’ is a fairly uninspiring selection, said to have larger flowers than is usual for G.woronowii. It is not especially distinct from other clones of the species here, but seems happy in a heavy, wet soil. #fairviewyearround
The true Galanthus ikariae, seeding about in one of the snowdrop beds. #fairviewyearround
Galanthus ‘Alpha Children’s Laughter’, a lovely recent introduction. #fairviewyearround

..another one for you... @stephengbyrne.bsky.social
Nice to see some sun today and it was warm enough to encourage the Crocus tommasinianus to open their flowers. My collection was decimated by voles/mice a couple of years ago and so it was good to see that I still had a few corms of some varieties. #fairviewyearround
Same here, lots of leaves cut off and left on the ground.
Hellebores this year are not only late, but many have hardly any flowers. I’ve seen a lot of nibbled leaves/flowers and diseased flowers. I’m guessing the weather has encouraged fungal diseases and there’s a lot of mice/voles about. Has anyone else found this? #fairviewyearround
Galanthus plicatus ‘Golden Fleece’ just starting to go over. #fairviewyearround
