It was deemed necessary to remove an old Oak tree to make room for a temporary pedestrian bridge whilst repairs of the existing bridge took place.

The more nimble BHGs outcompete them when it comes to grabbing chips in an urban car park!
Todayโs observation in rainy Wharfedale: The Common Gulls are much more proficient at catching worms than their Black-headed Gull cousins.
Both perform the little foot-stomping dance but canus easily outperforms ridibundus with a much greater number of gullible worms brought to the surface ๐
