I am not gonna share certain things out of respect for my friends' privacy, and I don't wanna publicly blast it, but I can at least give you some guiding info from my experiences to help you figure out how you wanna interface with certain music. βοΈ
I personally am still friends with Laura Hackett Park and Audra Lynn - literally my 2 phone notifications right now are that I was tagged in this, and that Audra just reacted to a text I sent her, haha. And they're friends with me, and I am out of the closet as queer! DM me, let's chat.
Oh gosh that's a great question! Easier if you just let me know what IHOPKC artists' stuff you have maybe in a DM convo and I can give you my take/experiences with them. I used to play bass on Nightwatch there for Ashley Prior and still keep in touch with a lot of folks from there!!
Oh, my gosh, you guys.
I just found out that Cheech and Chong sometimes indulged in POT CIGARETTES.

A better world isnβt just possible, it literally exists! You can go there! Public transit infrastructure is vastly faster and more convenient than cars for 95% of use cases!
Today's act of love: self-reflection.
Today, if you encounter someone different (culturally, racially, socio-economically) pay attention to your inner dialogue - are you scared, happy, confused, curious? Why?
If the day ends and you haven't met someone different, why is that? What prevented it?
Today's act:
Reach out to a friend or family member who you have lost touch with.
No agenda, just let them know you are thinking about them, curious about how they are doing, and value the relationship.

Homestar Runner in colored pencil in front of a blue star and a green circle, signed by @SieNoel and dated April '03
Please enjoy this colored pencil drawing of Homestar Runner I made like 22 years ago responsibly thank you and have a nice day
man, if this post wasn't making sense 5 months ago, do y'all see what I'm talking about yet?
here for the silly little videos and should I be concerned that they make perfect sense to me?
The goal of this account is to give ideas each day for ways to "move the needle" and make small steps towards a more caring and empathetic culture and resist dehumanizing forces.

Bucket crimes, crimes committed with my bucket friend, crimes my bucket friend told me to do, crimes committed whilst inside the infinite hole labeled K, skip button crimes, eternally recursive crimes (so many recursive crimes), crimes of choice, or perhaps crimes I had no choice but to commit...
Sword Hunter Badge One of the badges crafted by the Healing Church. The silver sword is a symbol of a Church hunter. Ludwig was the first of many Healing Church hunters to come, many of whom were clerics. As it was, clerics transformed into the most hideous beasts.
I've probably just been reading too much Nietzsche and Sapolsky.
"There's nothing more horrific than a hunt. In case you've failed to realize... The things you hunt, they're not beasts. They're people."
What is it, after all, that an Amygdala does? Especially in partnership with the insula - the "church," with moral disgust, "CURSED BEAST!"
However, do not hear what I am not saying - Logarius did similar to the people of Cainhurst, calling them Vilebloods. The Hunter slays beasts, & yet, as you slay beasts, they, too, call you "cursed beast!" - perhaps Djura's words had more to them. Maybe that is what the game is about?
Vermin... are the root of man's impurity. Those who wish to see vermin can, and those who choose to are provided with boundless purpose.
Pay to mind to the fact that vermin resemble a human spinal cord, don't think too hard about that salute or that helmet having only one eye... Confederates.
Most people have heard the quote βhistory is written by the winnersβ. I want everyone to understand that this is not some kind of metaphor. It is quite literal. Fascists always work to literally erase the artifacts that tell the history that they donβt want told.
hey, I'm sure someone at Guerrilla cares about my Horizon no skills no HUD no reticule ultra hard playthru, or my current horizon zero potions run, haha
a block of walnut wood with the silhouette of a rearing horse partially freed from it, some woodcarving tools, grips holding the block steady, etc, and lots of chunks of gouged out wood
I do not know what I am doing, and tbh I should not be trusted with sharp objects. I'm wearing flip flops. I do not belong here... but here I am. Hey, is there a wood relief carving side of bluesky? If so, do y'all wanna tell me how to do this thing or what to avoid?
painting a tiny face with acrylics while trying to show someone enraptured in joy and freedom is hard, I need to give her hair but gotta step away to feed the dog. Wherever this is when I go to bed tonight is where it will remain forever, wish me luck
this can be so hard to navigate, one of the communities I loosely follow (not a fandom per se but a similar vibe) is in the middle of a big dispute with sides right now & it can be hard to tell who's being honest & folks are trying to force unfollows by blocking all followers of so and so/etc, ughhh
The first Soulsborne game I ever attempted was Dark Souls 2 SOTFS, I created my character and wandered the opening area for 2 hours trying to figure out where to go, I never saw the door in the back of the hut. I never got beyond the hut. I killed the big enemy, but couldn't find the door. 2. hours.
I think I'm starting to get a better grasp on value / color theory or whatever as this painting comes along
It's fun to sit and mark the end of each chunk of time I sit down to work on this painting by sharing the results. The sun has gone down and I don't have the greatest options for lighting in this house, so I tried to capture it with what I have. Real life's some combo of these:
unfinished painting of a horse and rider in the desert, a red Mesa is illuminated by the twilight sun and rock arches are silhouettes in the distance, as the sunrays shine brightly between distant mountain peaks, lighting up the scattered clouds in orange, pink, and violet the painting's foreground is only a loosely realized sketch, with more detail in the sky and background. all 4 images are the same painting with variation of how the painting was lit when the photo was taken

Sorry for posting so many updates by sharing the results of each session I have working on this desert sunset painting, I learn by getting to see how others' work develops across their process so I want to share mine for others who do the same π«Ά
Albert Bierstadt worked back to front so I guess I will too. This is my first time painting rocks. This is my first time trying most of these things. Or, alternatively, it's just another attempt at capturing light and forms, which I've done many times. Still so much more to do.
painting of a horse and rider (foreground, no detail added yet, just a silhouette) in a desert landscape at sunrise - the background layers of mountain silhouettes with sunrise rays breaking through in bands of vivid reds with purple blue shadows sit under a sky mottled with cirrocumulus-like clouds peppered with reds, oranges, yellows, into purple shadows against a deep blue sky
I think I finally figured out how the light should work... Quite pleased with myself, honestly. God rays for days. Might be able to knock out the foreground soon!
