A white chihuahua with brown spots lays on the legs of a woman wearing jean shorts and colorful wool socks.
I love when I get to take a break and relax with my adorable little guy. He says good riddance to all the people claiming theyβll leave California now that prop 50 has passed. We donβt need them!
Waking up to the sound of rain outside my window AND the wonderful news on election results coming from across the country. Itβs a wonderful morning in California.
My garden is full of gorgeous zinnias. A little rainbow of color to brighten my days. Maybe itβll brighten yours too.
Always proud of being a Californian. #prop50
Adorable chihuahua pup curled in a blanket on a couch.
My little sidekick. Always curled up on the throw blankets and trying to convince me to take a middle of the day nap instead of doing something productive.

Four years ago I got my first dahlia plant. It was one of the only things that brought me joy that summer. This summer Iβm going to grow an entire garden for cut flowers. Dahlias, zinnias, roses and moreβ¦ my head is in the clouds. Iβm so happy.
A basket full of oranges and flowers picked from the backyard.
Sharing with my neighbors. At times like this itβs especially important that we build a strong community. Small gestures or big. They mean a lot.

Yeah I know people say anxiety is bad, but mine has just been collecting all the possible things that can go wrong so far. Once it has an exhaustive catalog of every possible mishap, itβll move on to suggesting solutions and then you better watch out.
Head of garlic sprouting on a kitchen countertop next to some potatoes.
The organic garlic I got at the co-op is sprouting. I guess Iβm going to have to grow garlic now.
