Today is World Toilet Day

Millions around the world do not have access to a toilet. Some walk miles just to find one. Lack of safe, clean toilets spreads disease, puts lives at risk & strips people of their dignity. Clean water & sanitation are not a privilege - they are a basic human right.

Equal pay claim hits £49.2m as 'formal' agreement reached Council bosses in Southampton have reached a “formal agreement” with trade unions on equal pay settlements.

Southampton City Council has reached a formal agreement to settle equal pay claims, with £49.2 million set aside. A step forward in recognising and addressing pay gaps across the workforce.
