Multiple Men Have Impersonated ICE Agents To Kidnap And Assault Women In a letter shared with HuffPost, the Democratic Women’s Caucus urged DHS to mandate ICE agents to “visibly and clearly identify themselves" when making arrests.

Gonna go ahead and say this was a) inevitable and b) widely predicted, but the subhuman shitstains involved in all this c) don't care.

This ICE observer had her TSA-Pre-check revoked.

Screenshot of a press release with the headline: “Mayor Mamdani Announces Formation of ‘Rental Ripoff’ Hearings.”

Subhead reads: “‘Rental Ripoff’ hearings in all five boroughs will offer New Yorkers a microphone to share poor conditions, unconscionable business practices that City will act on.” Body text reads: “NEW YORK, NY — New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani today signed an executive order directing the Department of Housing Preservation & Development, the Department of Buildings, the Mayor’s Office to Protect Tenants, and the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection, in coordination with the new Office of Mass Engagement, to hold ‘Rental Ripoff’ hearings across the five boroughs within the first 100 days of the administration. At these hearings, working New Yorkers will be able to speak about the challenges they face — from poor building conditions to hidden fees on rent payments. Following these hearings, the Mamdani administration will publish a summary and report detailing common themes and areas of opportunity, and the testimony shared at these hearings will directly inform policy interventions to take on these ripoff tactics. Details about the hearings will be available at nyc.gov/RentalRipoff.”

This should exist in every city in the country.

People being like, "But Venezuelans are happy about Maduro being gone!" have the memories of goldfish. IN 2003, the narrative was that Iraqis celebrated the U.S. invasion and capture of Saddam.

Whether they were happy or not, invading Iraq was still the wrong thing to do.

Rubio is claiming that they did not need Congress permission because it was a law enforcement mission. The US is behaving as a global police state, extending its own arbitrary legal decisions to the whole world.

This is not a problem just for Venezuela.

People are going to try and lure you into debates about whether Maduro was a good guy or not and the thing is, it doesn’t matter for the purposes of discussing whether violent kidnappings and extrajudicial murders by the US government are ok. No, they aren’t! End of convo.

A defining moment for Europe. If it endorses/fails to condemn this flagrant breach of international law, it will have surrendered its core justification for opposing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine

sorry i am doing the thing i don't like to do but yes obviously we are at war with venezuela under any terms other than those of our constitution, because the war is domestically illegal as well as internationally illegal

Kidnapping the leader of a foreign state without any declaration of war and announcing it via social media is full-on rogue state stuff. From the world’s number one superpower.

Whatever you might think of Maduro, the seizure and kidnapping of a head of state takes us to a very dark place. Vast, arbitrary, extra-legal power, which could be exercised almost anywhere, regardless of the character of the target government.

03.01.2026 10:14 👍 7380 🔁 2333 💬 300 📌 149

Im seeing discussions about consultations with congress, authorizations of force etc. I have to say this transcends any of what I would call sub constitutional technicalities. The president has gone to war with a foreign power and, it seems, kidnapped a foreign head of state on the basis of nothing.

03.01.2026 09:43 👍 4532 🔁 1313 💬 74 📌 65

The media wants the war and likes Trump and so will not report on this war as if it is unpopular, despite overwhelming polling showing that it is. Covering things as if they are unpopular is for things they want to stop and they want the war and want it to succeed.

Three million people live in Caracas, five million in the metro area. It's one of the densest cities in South America. Remember this in the morning when they try to spin this as anything other than a cold-blooded attack on a major civilian center.

The members who did the "don't follow illegal orders" video absolutely need to immediately do a "hey these were the illegal orders we were talking about and participating in them can expect to face consequences to the fullest extent of the law" video
