Hereditary, for instance, is one of the scariest movies I've ever seen. The telephone pole scene is both horrifying and hilarious. The ending kept me up the second time I saw it. But that cut to credits and "Both Sides Now" playing? Also amazingly funny!

It's insipid, but it's also redundant. Horror is funny already! Scream is basically a comedy. Good slasher kills are full of wit. Being scared often makes people laugh, and that's beautiful. This series just fundamentally doesn't understand that.
