I definitely did not feel alone here. I sensed nature spirits all around me

The sand on the trail shimmered with millions of the tiniest mica fragments; sparkling brilliantly in the sun. (The photo of the sand is not pictured here because the sparkling just didn’t show up on camera).

I was physically alone here, but certainly didn’t feel alone.

It’s difficult to see the bricked up pool and the natural spring that is barely a trickle now.
