To the younger generation: PLEASE stop writing enquiry emails with ChatGPT, or at least edit them if you do. It’s such a bad first impression if I have to try and decipher why your email sounds so strange. A badly written personal email is SUCH a better introduction than a bizarre ChatGPT one.
Considering that’s how Moltres Ex’s Inferno Dance works, we have evidence that that works well too. It’s more reliable but still has that chance element - I’ve had 8 tails in a row with Inferno Dance before which is just as frustrating as a failed Misty but at least you can keep using it.
It is hilarious to me that on Pokémon TCG Pocket I have the gold crown Mew Ex and the two star Mew Ex but not the ordinary one, despite doing at least 10 wonder picks specifically for it 😂 I can’t exactly claim I’m unlucky, and yet!

Right? Taking out the basics on the bench and then pairing it with Flute so you can do it again next turn is very fun 😂. Also have an Alakazam/Jynx for the heavy energy decks although I think Serperior/Exeggutor might work better with a faster set up 🤔
Classic Dragonite/Druddigon stall is my favourite because of the randomness of Draco Meteor. Big fan of Wigglytuff Ex/Frosmoth for sleep status, and I have a Greninja/Lumineon/Zebstrika deck where the gimmick is attacking the bench but I’m still figuring out the best balance for that one.
Ooo I love some nerdy stats, nice, still relatively “doable” for most players then. I do think it feels less enjoyable than the overall wins events but for me that’s because I like using weird decks and while they’re more fun to play they’re definitely less consistent haha.
I don’t know what it says about me that I started a Bluesky account to keep up with my fellow science communicators but I spend most of my time reading posts about Pokémon TCG Pocket instead. Perhaps we all just need a little nostalgia and fun to keep us going in these tough times 😂
Ahh I forgot about the stardust rewards, of course! And yeah I figured event battles are probably better than random battles since I know I use random to test out deck ideas and some are not good 😂. I agree though, much prefer the overall wins to streaks when so much is coin flip and chance in TCGs

Agreed. Four out of five wins and then in my fifth battle I got eight tails in a row. I don’t mind losing because of skill or when losing one match doesn’t mean anything, but it’s frustrating when you lose a streak just on luck.
Just curious because I’ve seen a lot of people doing this: why are you continuing to battle in the event after getting the 5 win emblem? You get no more rewards for doing so and you’re stopping other people getting the emblems by breaking their streaks. Genuinely just interested!
The X button is in line with the ‘Tap to continue’ part of the screen so I know I’ve accidentally tapped through too fast before and missed the chance to, so I assume other people sometimes do that too.
I always find it interesting how the brain (or mine at least) can stay perfectly calm under immense stress, but then breakdown once everything’s over. It’s presumably a survival instinct, but it does feel strange to feel totally overwhelmed by the stress of the past rather than the present.
In today’s D&D session, the party decided that killing the man that was threatening them with a sword was barbaric… so they locked him and his four unarmed allies in a dungeon in the middle of a desert to starve to death instead. Ah yes, much more civilised 😌.
It’s a GREAT card in decks too, highly recommend trying some battles with it 😊
Ahhh I used to love that game so much! Wasted so many hours on it as a kid. I don’t suppose anyone knows a way to play it these days? I can’t imagine I still have the CD anywhere…
Today I performed with the West End Musical Choir for the first time! We were on the staircase just inside the O2 and there’s another performance shortly if you’re in the area. It was great fun, and just proves that my health progress has come on leaps and bounds over the past three years 😁!
