Ladytron and Lobo art by Dustin Weaver @dustinweaver.bsky.social, 2003.
Thanks, Andy. I love sharing old work from my pre-professional days. Maybe it's because I have a lot of it. Check out Paklis #0 for much more.
That's too kind.
For fun, I colored a drawing I did in 2003.
I don't think I have seen that.
I was let down by Otomo's the first time, but it has become one of my favorites. It is odd and it's so very him... I think my favorite is the Bruce Timm story.
It would be fun!
It's so wild that this had an Otomo story and, if I'm not mistaken, almost a Moebius story. I think his Penthouse Ratman (Not Batman) story was supposed to be in it. It would have been one of my favorite Batman Black and White stories, if it had been.
Very good.
HA.
He may be the rug, but who is the weaver?
So Jim Rugg got into comics with Wolverine, singling out issue 10, and he grabs Weapon X, Bisley's Lobo, and a Dan Clowes book to talk about.
Is Jim Rugg me??
There's also this version.
CATACOMB OF TORMENT #11
Cover and a story inside by me!
Coming in MAY!
When she was little, my daughter made up a riddle. "What can see but has no head?" The answer: "A headless eye-bodied kangaroo."
This has become a metaphor for a problem I have with many fantasy and supernatural stories...
At least the answer to that riddle is funny though.
I can see it but it's not deliberate. I was aiming for 100% HergΓ©.
Tom Noonan's "What Happened Was..." is a 5 star film.
RIP
I recently came across my first drawing for this story in an old sketchbook. I scanned it and colored it for fun.
Here's the only "The Adventures of Thing Thing: The Blue Cheese Affair" concept art (2009)
One of my fave short stories I've ever created, this one in tandem with the illustrious and masterful @dustinweaver.bsky.social. It's... The Adventures of Thing Thing: The Blue Cheese Affair.

So fun to see Maksim's colors on these 25! year old sample pages of mine.
Very cool, Maksim! There's some stuff I'd love to redraw on these old pages, but that's not your fault. HA
This snazzy art by the great @dustinweaver.bsky.social will be gracing our growing "Trekker takes" trading card series as our next Kickstarter stretch goal. Already closing in on it!

My first "pro" comic job I was "hired" to draw was 25 years ago.
I quit my day job about 23 years ago.
