It’s not that they are all stupid; it’s more of a situation of many being so busy working and raising kids that there is no time for politics or studying candidates. I was there for over 20 years. We still voted, but local candidates seemed to be a total mystery until the internet.

The Pentagon is moving an Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) to the Middle East.
This consists of an amphibious task force naval element and a landing force (Marine Expeditionary Unit / MEU) and about 5,000 marines.
