Especially after trading for Zubac. I'm not sure he's better than Myles Turner, but I am sure he's excellent.
I think they way overperformed in the playoffs last year, but I also think that sort of thing happens when you have a guy with as much upside as Tyrese. And they won't need to overperform to make the Finals if they add one of these top three guys to their core.
Katey Sagal just joined another extremely high budget franchise today!
I'm just proud of TJ McConnell for getting good enough to be held out of games the Pacers need to lose
I think this might be one of the most common Types of Guy on Bluesky: Someone who decided in 2024 that China figured out EVs and America did not, then chose not to take in any other information whatsoever.
One-number analytics do an excellent job of proving that things cannot be quantified down to one number. They're great for flagging guys who are better than raw numbers suggest, but bad at adequately explaining how good anyone actually is.
I don't think hobbyist driving and hobbyist road biking are incompatible, it's just that the sort of asshole drivers who don't respect cyclists are incompatible with being in a society
This is why he got to be in Marty Supreme
My main concern is Sacramento winning those two Brooklyn games and this Indiana game. Assuming the three East teams do what they're expected to, that puts the Kings right in the sweet spot to fall to seventh and miss out on a guaranteed pick of a guy I'm excited about.
I am more worried about games against the Mavs/Bulls/Grizzlies than games against New Orleans at this point. They clearly just got healthy enough to play like a real NBA team, and they have no incentive to do anything but that.
Some of the pressure has been taken off Sacramento by Brooklyn's two recent wins, much more by New Orleans' recent surge back to respectability. A top four slot is now extremely likely, which means high odds of a top six pick. Only a top two slot actually guarantees that, though.
Tonight's Kings-Pacers game is, stupid as this is, the biggest remaining game of the year for Sacramento. An absolute must-lose. The Kings face other tankers throughout the season from here, but Indiana has a surprisingly respectable schedule. Very important both to lose and to hand Indiana a win.
There are a lot of people in both groups that hate the other, but there are also a lot of people that are in both groups. This is by virtue of knowing a bunch of car people for work, sure, but I know dozens of Bike Guys that are Sports Car Guys too. Many are pro racers.
I would get that if they were partnering with Large SUVs To Drive Recklessly In Bike Lanes, but I think performance cars on closed courses pair 1:1 with road bikes. Both are about engineering to extract speed, both are famously expensive hobbies, both are popular with the same demographics.
As someone who fills a 26 gallon tank with premium gas in Southern California, I have spent the past week not getting why people are showing photos of what they paid for a tank of gas
Stocks are surging this morning on word that the Chopper episodes are pretty good
Bart HarJar!
I took a couple hours and tried to articulate what weβre trying to do. We need more sites that arenβt terrible and we need more ways to fund them.
I am convinced that these movies are designed mostly to justify posts that say things like βDonald Glover is Yoshiβ
Telling an editor that my draft is "very complete, pretty much" 30 minutes after I was supposed to submit it
I endorse any and all weird F2/F3 standalones. Zandvoort, Mid-Ohio, anywhere.
It's a great preview of upcoming Cam Boozer discourse. We're going to get a decade of guys insisting he isn't good while he's hitting 26-12-5 with a steal and a half every year.
It was really weird seeing people call him clearly head-and-shoulders better than Sabonis at game 20 this year and it's really weird seeing people suggest that he sucks overall now. People simply cannot be normal about skilled bigs that aren't positive defenders.
Kevin Kiley going independent does not actually change anything, but it is still good when rats publicly flee the ship to any degree
A picture of Marco Rubio shoes that are too large for him
Iβm a grown man who works for the president of the United States who is afraid to not wear the shoes he bought me that do not fit
These woke Skypeians want everyone to ride around in a gold boat powered by electricity smh
Exactly the guy you want when oil prices go up (his bike runs on smoke magic)
