On Thursday, 12th February 2026 a Neighbourhood Plan Referendum will take place to ask residents in East Drayton if they would like the Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area.

Electors will have to vote in a polling station until a new postal vote application is received or a proxy is appointed.

You can apply online at: www.electoralcommission.org.uk/voting-and-e...

If you apply online you do not need to return the paper application form.

We will also be sending out emails to electors we hold email addresses for.

If a new application is not received by 31st January 2026 the Electoral Registration Officer is required by law to cancel the postal vote.

If you are a postal voter you might need to reapply before 31st January, or your postal vote could be removed.

New rules mean that you need to re-apply every three years. If you need to reapply and have not already responded you will have received a reminder letter from us.

Polite reminder that all of our offices will be closed tomorrow (1st of January) for New Years Day Bank Holiday and will reopen as normal on the 2nd of January.✨

There will be some changes to bin collections in Bassetlaw over the festive period from Thursday, 25th December 2025.

Office Closures

Bassetlaw District Council offices in Worksop and Retford will be closed on Monday, 25th August 2025 for the summer bank holiday, and will reopen the following day.
