Hannah Spencer MP celebrates at a Green Party election night event. She is smiling broadly and taking a selfie, her arm raised high holding a pink smartphone. She has long blonde hair and is wearing a bright pink jacket over a yellow top. Behind her, a crowd of supporters are bathed in green light, holding ‘Vote Green’ signs. The Green Party logo appears at the top of the image. Bold white text reads: ‘She’s only gone and done it!’ Below in italic text: ‘Working hard should get you a nice life.’ Further text reads: ‘Congratulations Hannah Spencer MP, Gorton & Denton Manchester.’ At the bottom, a link reads: https://greenpartyni.org/join
🎉 She’s only gone and done it! Huge congratulations to Hannah Spencer, our new MP for Gorton & Denton Manchester! 💚

Northern Ireland’s headline funding boost masks deeper problems: Labour’s budget still puts the squeeze on working people through frozen tax thresholds, while the richest and big polluters avoid paying their fair share.

Three people stand smiling in front of a wood panel wall with a large blue “4%” above them. From left to right: Zack Polanski, leader of Green Party England & Wales; Lesley Veronica, deputy leader of Green Party NI; and Mal O’Hara, leader of Green Party NI. Bold white text reads “JOIN Green Party Northern Ireland” above a red banner with “greenpartyni.org/join”, along with the Green Party logo and website at the bottom.
Our highest ever polling with Lucid Talk!
This is a big step forward. While it may be just a snapshot, it’s clear our message is resonating with more and more people. Momentum is building because people know there’s a better way.

Promotional graphic featuring a Belfast Telegraph article titled “‘It’s clear Alliance has failed’: Green leader blasts Naomi Long’s party for ‘letting voters down’.” Below the headline is a photo of Green Party NI leader Mal O’Hara speaking into a microphone. The image includes the Green Party Northern Ireland logo and website link “https://greenpartyni.org/join” with the note “Published & Promoted by Green Party NI, PO Box 369, Bangor, BT20 9FJ.”
Alliance promised change but delivered excuses. While they talk about “balance”, Lough Neagh is choking, hate crime laws gather dust, public transport collapses and inequality grows. The Greens don’t sit on the fence - we fight for people and planet, not political convenience.

A rectangular graphic set against a backdrop of bright green woodland, with sunlight filtering through leafy trees. In the foreground, a bold dark-green box with rounded white corners contains the Green Party NI recruitment message: “We’re making hope normal again for everyone in NI. Fair pay, public services, radical climate action, and affordable homes – funded by taxing extreme wealth, not working people. Join a movement rooted in fairness, unity and practical solutions. Join us. https://greenpartyni.org/join” The lower section displays the greenparty logo in white and small text noting official publication and promotion, including the party’s PO Box address in Bangor, Northern Ireland. The layout uses bold and highlighted text for emphasis, making the key points stand out clearly against the natural background.

A political graphic from the Green Party NI with a bold, white "1" in the top left corner. The main heading reads "False Closure" above a larger, impactful statement: "FAKE 'CLOSURE'" on one line and "SET TO REFUEL" on the next, with "RHISCANDAL" prominently displayed below it. This suggests a critique that a government scheme, the RHI Scandal, is being falsely declared resolved and is set to continue causing issues. The Green Party NI logo and publisher information are at the bottom.
Stormont and Dept for the Economy says it’s closing the scandal ridden RHI. In fact it’s yet another barefaced giveaway. Payments are set to quadruple, locking in taxpayer handouts until 2036. The RHI scheme isn’t ending; it’s being reborn.

When racist violence erupted last summer, inaction from the executive let it fester and emboldened fascists. Stormont has a leadership vacuum on this and other issues.
When far-right thugs try to lynch migrant workers outside McDonalds, silence from elected representatives is complicity.
Graphic titled “Who Let Lough Neagh Die?” shows a table with six Northern Ireland political parties: Alliance, DUP, SDLP, Sinn Féin, UUP, and Green Party NI. All parties except the Green Party have green check marks indicating support for sand dredging in 2020 and the 2013 “Going For Growth” industrial agriculture strategy. The Green Party has red crosses for both. The background shows a polluted lake shore. The Green Party logo and website appear at the bottom.
For 27 years, the SDLP, DUP, Sinn Féin, UUP and Alliance have sat back while Lough Neagh has been poisoned.
Every one of them backed the so-called “Going for Growth” strategy, which turbo-charged industrial farming, and they allowed destructive sand dredging to continue.

Green Party Northern Ireland graphic announcing Belfast City Council’s decision to make an offer for the historic Assembly Rooms. The text reads: ‘Assembly Rooms – Putting Belfast Back Together. Belfast City Council has agreed to make an offer to buy the Assembly Rooms thanks to the hard work of your Green Party councillors.’ Below are photos of three councillors: Cllr Brian Smyth (Lisnasharragh), Cllr Áine Groogan (Botanic), and Cllr Anthony Flynn (Ormiston). At the bottom is the Green Party NI website link: greenpartyni.org/join.
Great news for Belfast! 🌱
Belfast City Council has agreed to make an offer for the historic Assembly Rooms – and the Greens were key in making it happen.
This is about protecting our heritage, putting people before speculation, and giving Belfast a future that values its past.
Everyone’s welcome – bring a friend and be part of the change.

Don't be blaming immigrants for having no social housing.
Don't be blaming immigrants for 1 in 4 of NI people being on NHS waiting lists.
Blame nearly three decades of a Stormont Executive who have only delivered incompetence, division, sectarianism and mediocrity.
Mal O’Hara is bringing a different kind of energy to Northern Irish politics. “We’re here to shake things up for people and planet,” says Mal. See how leadership and real change look - and sound - with the Greens. 💚
Sixteen year olds can work and pay tax, but cannot vote. Ellie Byrne of Young Greens asks: “If we trust young people with real responsibility, why deny them a real voice?”
Watch the video and tell us - should those who build the future also help choose it?
A message to all other Belfast City Councillors: Hopefully BCC acquires the Assembly Rooms in next few months, but don't pat yourselves on the back, thinking job done.
This is only the end of the beginning. We still have more to do in delivering a city centre people will be proud of.
A Green Party graphic with Ellie Byrne seated in a black leather jacket, chain necklace, and sunglasses on her head. The quote reads: "Giving the vote means respect, not removing protections." Her name and "Young Greens" feature in a green box below. The bottom text says "Votes for 16 & 17 Year Olds: 8. Safeguards & Protections."
Giving young people the vote is about respect, not risk. Agree or disagree?

A campaign graphic for the Green Party features Ellie Byrne, representative of the Young Greens, seated in a black leather jacket with sunglasses resting on her head and wearing a chunky chain necklace. The Green Party logo is displayed at the top of the image. To the left of Ellie is a bold quote: “Votes at sixteen is a start—real democracy means every voice counts.” The phrase “means every” is highlighted in green. Ellie’s name and “Young Greens” are shown in a bright green box at the lower left of the image. The bottom section features large white text: “Votes for 16 & 17 Year Olds. 9. Broader Democratic Renewal.” The background is a light neutral gradient.
Votes at sixteen is just the beginning. Ready for PR, campaign finance reform and an elected second chamber?
What reforms matter to you?

The quote reads: "If we trust young people with jobs and tax, we can trust them with the vote." The Green Party logo is at the top. Text at the bottom: "Votes for 16 & 17 Year Olds — 1. Maturity & Decision-Making."
If young people can work and pay tax, they can be trusted with a vote.
What do you think - ready to let them decide?

🌈 🏳️⚧️ Belfast Pride kicks off this weekend and our pedigree on lgbtqia+ equality is unassailable. The 5 executive parties have gaslighted us with broken promises and refusal to use their power to make our lives better.

They then added insult to injury by bringing in the puberty blocker ban only for trans kids, announced via tweet and without consultation of our community.
This is why they have been rightly banned.
For us it’s simple.

A Green Party Northern Ireland social media graphic features the historic Assembly Rooms building in Belfast as the background. Overlaid text reads: “We’re proud our push for real action has secured the future of this Belfast landmark.” The Green Party logo is at the top, with the slogan “ASSEMBLY ROOMS: PUTTING BELFAST BACK TOGETHER” prominently displayed. Councillor Áine Groogan with long hair stands in the foreground, wearing a blue shirt. The bottom of the graphic includes a web address for the Green Party NI.
Belfast is taking back the Assembly Rooms. After years of Green Party pressure, this historic heart of the city is returning to public hands. “We’re proud our push for real action has secured the future of this landmark,” said Councillor Áine Groogan. Heritage wins. The future starts now.
A group of life-sized dummies, dressed to resemble people, are arranged in a small boat placed on top of a large wooden bonfire structure. The dummies wear orange life jackets and are positioned as if sitting together in the boat. The bonfire is built from stacked wooden pallets and towers several metres high. The scene is outdoors under a clear sky, and the overall mood is tense and provocative. The words “RACISM ISN’T CULTURE” and “STOP THE BOATS” are clearly visible within the image, along with the Green Party logo. No real people are present.
Bonfires can bring communities together, but there’s nothing cultural about racism, sectarian threats, or putting people’s homes & health at risk. When bonfires are used to intimidate or target minorities, that isn’t tradition - it’s hate. Celebration is about respect, safety, & dignity for all.
513 days back at Stormont, but nothing’s changed. Homelessness up, Lough Neagh dying, health in crisis. Tired of excuses? The Green Party is demanding real action - on housing, health, and the environment. Time for change. #StormontIsntWorking
The cost of living crisis is crushing working and middle class families while Stormont drags its feet. Green Party’s Brian Smyth demands real action - not empty promises. We need investment in renewables, good jobs, and real support for those struggling now. #CostOfLiving #GreenParty #BrianSmyth
sMYTH BUSTING the Green Party, part 2: The Greens want to ban cars. No we don't.
We want to strengthen public transport & active travel. Our roads are congested & filled with dirty air. 34% of people in Belfast don't have access to a car. Is this really the best we can do?
