It IS fantastic and I DO love it! π
At the back of Hornytown Chutzpah there is a tongue-in-cheek glossary of Yiddish terms used in the novella. This is a sampling.
7 days until Hornytown Chutzpah's book birthday
It still tickles me no end that @jenniferhudak.bsky.social read it and said, "That's fantastic! I love it!"
That's right! My glossary has its own blurb π
Here's a sampling.
In 1983, Ruth Schwartz Cowan published a book called More Work for Mother where she argued that modern household tech (washing machines/vacuums) didn't reduce women's housework time, it just raised standards of domesticity. Household work is never shortened by tech & you can extrapolate that out.
I will not be using the Human Authored mark on any of my books.
Mainly because these people who are so-called champions of human art are using AI.
Jesus, shield me against hypocrisy.

"I use AI for researching my historical novels, but I'm pro human writing because look at the nifty Human Authored label I'm promoting" is the "some of my best friends are Black" of AI activism.
I love yooouuuu!!!

Hey @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social if you send more of my tax money to this, I will spend so much of my free time being in your ass about sending my tax money to bomb little girls trying to get an education. And I won't stop after they can your ass. You and Trump are no different if you do this.
I have a new short story out today!
"La Sirena's Blessing of Belonging" is about a girl making a wish to find where she belongs. It's a deeply personal piece about biracial identityβand also a contemporary (slightly futuristic) magical realism story rather than secondary world!
I hope you enjoy β¨

The say βI am aliveβ comic
Iβm reminded of this comic almost every time I check LinkedIn
there's so much bad in the world but there's also people who lift up and carry an elderly bat around every day so he can pretend he's flying again, and that's the part of the world I think is worth fighting for
Oh no π¬ I literally have nightmares about disgusting bathrooms
Another delightful reading with @storyhour.bsky.social! I read "The Visitors," a short that peeks into the future of my "The Only Song Worth Singing" characters! Could that future be a book? We'll see ... Plus, @jenniferhudak.bsky.social's tale is not to be missed! π

Thank you so much! And I loved hearing your story too--it makes me want to pick up your book!
If you missed last night's @storyhour.bsky.social , you can still watch it! I read "Written on the Subway Walls," a story that always makes me a little bit emotional--and even more so after listening to @randeedawn.com read her gorgeous story!
Any ideas on how we should celebrate 2000 stories on InkFoundry?
Ooohhhhhh...! π
Color photo of writer Randee Dawn, a fair-skinned woman with large blue eyes and blonde hair worn long and curled, with bangs. She wears a black dress with white cuffs and sits in front of a blurred background of leaves. She smiles tenderly at the camera, perhaps because she is holding a red fox to her chest. The fox is looking around.
Head-and-shoulders color photo of writer Jennifer Hudak, a fair-skinned woman with straight, gray-threaded brown hair worn at shoulder length. She wears a brownish-red top with crochet sleeves and poses before a blurred interior background that includes tile wall and light wood. Her shoulders are square to the camera, but she looks up and to one side, smiling warmly.
This Story Hour, two favorites return! Randee Dawn and Jennifer Hudak help us bid goodbye to this sanest time of the year (Standard Time). Join us for Story Hour Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. PST! @randeedawn.com @jenniferhudak.bsky.social www.storyhour2020.com
Trans people are under attack.
They are trying to make them going out in public illegal.
They are taking away their licenses.
If you cannot see that the moment you unpeople one demographic, you create a gray area for every other demographic, you're beyond hope.
Trans rights are human rights.
