This bunch will be going to the 'Keep the light on' exhibition at floating goose studios.
I've been making these sorts of flowers for years. They're a wire frame with wool (mostly acrylic) woven around.

I just found out that Pantone does a colour of the year. For 2026 its Cloud Dancer, describe it as a lofty white. It's literally just white.
Same page brands had done Cloud Dancer coloured things. Like white playdough and white sticky note. I feel like they could have been more imaginative.

The fabric drape is nice.

This was for 'Wish You Were Here' last month, an exhibition held by Adelaide Central School of Art. It's done every year and you only found out the artist after the piece is bought. All art is the size of a post card.
The Exhibition felt a bit postal, so I made a letter.

5 tiny books. Colour covers & brown spines. Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple.

Tinny books round tow. I think I'm getting better. All are about the same size and the edge of the page blocks are pretty even.
Not sure what I'm going to do with 10 tinny books, maybe make a tinny bookcase.

So i bib a beginner book binding class and now I'm experimenting with tinny books.
Hoping I can work up to make my sketchbooks with thread binding instead of wire binding.

Car update: The impact did more than just a bit dented. So had to get a new car and ended up finding a newer model but in blue.
I find it funny, I'm basically driving the same car.

Well that sounds extremely annoying

Friend reminded of the SES (State Emergency Service). They came in like an hour. Cut some branches and used the truck to pull the big one off my car. Really good people.
And my car just a bit dented.
Thought all of this, was going to be so much more complicated.

How's other peoples day going. I woke up to 1/2 a tree on my car.
Who do I even ring about this? Cos I can't move it.

A family of magpies hang out here a lot, the kookaburra is new. A full stand-off occurred, was probably over the cheese

In fed. I started drawing the layouts of cafes I've been to. Fill like I'm investigating a new direction of documenting life.
So went to Paddington markets (Sydney) and found lunch after in this lovely hole in the place called Parchment. Simple place, good food.

So I've been making my sketchbooks for the last few years. I made the front and back cover bigger than an A5, Then covered with gaffer tape. Hoping this will protect the inside. Nocked my tea over the last one and it's gone wiggly.
I like the clean lines on this one.
