We...we already do buy intelligence. They're called books. Sometimes you can even loan them out from places called "libraries." Fantastic places FULL of books. Books teach us. Books, in theory, increase intelligence through learning. Sad that this man seems unwilling to learn, though.

This is is a MUST play JRPG. A heartfelt story, beautiful art by Akira Toriyama, and incredibly rich gameplay.
It's simply one of the greatest video games ever made.

Have you ever managed to get the Ascendant ending? I still haven't.
That was my first Lich playthrough and while I love the Lich (my favourite Evil path!), I am NEVER doing that to Ember again. Ever. She's a sweetheart and deserves all the love and besides...the Redeemer Queen ending is apparently canon.
Ahahahaah. So, Evil ending for Ember has her regress to a childlike state, gain a permanent -2 to her Intelligence stat, and her slide has her completely giving up on her magic. "I can't use my tricks. All my friends die when I use my tricks." She also spends the rest of her life alone.
Oh the only reason I was nice to her in my Demon run was so that Noctilia would leave the Abyss and let my Knight Commander take control of the city, hahahah. And it worked.
The ONE time I went Evil with Ember (telling her constantly that helping people wasn't worth it), her ending slide broke something in me and that save file got deleted and I've never gone the Evil route with her again. Always Good or Lawful.
Thank you. I did have a rather darkly amusing idea for a Mythic run - Trickster to Swarm. The ultimate prank, fooling everybody into believing you're NOT a monster only to try and eat them all in the end.
