some recent lith prints i havenโt bothered to flatten/scan yet
do you ever feel like that all you know how to do anymore is fail, and that no matter what youโre doomed to a future that will swallow you unless you kill yourself before you allow that to happen
this scanner is quite awful, the highlights are blown out but the image is still too dark, and all the nuances in the shadows are lost

the grade 1 box of portriga rapid i also have has aged beautifully as well, it is unfortunate though that i straight up donโt have that many negatives which work well with this contrast
iโve did some digging and it turns out the portriga dates back to 1975 at the latest, so this stuff is at a minimum 51 years oldโฆ geez

anyway turns out i have an old printer with a scanner and said scanner is a lot better at this than my phone... it still sucks tho but its better than what my phone can do
oh the first few times i straight up fucked up loading the film and a few rolls have crescent shaped wrinkles in them, for a little while i was under-fixing my film and had to go back later and refix multiple rolls
โฆignore how poorly i put the sheet into the easel
i cut down one of the 11x14 sheets (i have like 80 of them) into a few sheets of 5x7 and did a full printโฆ only to realize the test strips inside the same box are straight up not the same paper?? why?? i believe theyโre probably agfa brovira because i also have that and got it from the same source
actually i had something odd happen when testing this paper. initially i just used one of the test strips to test to fog, noticed it had almost no fog whatsoever, and eventually did a small test and thought it printed rather wonderfully.
i ended up adding too much potassium bromide to the developer because iโve never done this before, so the development took almost 4 minutes, which in turn really cooled down the warm tones, which is unfortunateโฆ but it did get rid of the small amount of fog which the paper had so i guess it worked
i donโt have a good way of digitizing prints but this is a sheet of like 40+ year old agfa portriga rapid which printed really well despite being ancient
