I think it might be more useless with us ADHD-ers because we already have excellent pattern recognition skills, so we’re likely to notice how shitty the LLM’s response is compared to what we already know to be true and/or possible

Truth! In my experience, those sites also don’t provide recipes I actually want to make. It’s kind of lose-lose to me. The scary thing about asking gen AI to do your thinking for you is that it’s not actually thinking, so it’s just providing you with an automaton version of an average person. Blech.

Similarly: sometimes I need the universe to tell me what to eat when I can’t fathom how ingredients in my pantry go together. My usual thing is to google a few ingredients together to see if any recipes emerge, but someone could use an LLM to do this (potentially faster?). I wouldn’t, but one could.

I’m a certified hater, but if forced to ID something: if your ADHD manifests as choice paralysis, you could ask it to order your to-do list based on level of effort/time it will take/level of urgency. I wouldn’t take its recs at face value, but if you needed something to react to, it could help?
