A screenshot of The Lowdown showing a corner of the fictional book, Man Moon, originally from Reservations Dogs.
In addition to the Willie Jack sighting in the first few minutes of the Lowdown, we have a second cameo of the book Man Moon beside Lee Raybon (Ethan Hawke). Hoping Flaming Flamers show up next.
A screenshot of the sample recommendation form with a recommender's name, Dr. Leo Spaceman, already prefilled.
I just downloaded the sample recommendation form for the Fulbright ETA program, and I'm pleased to see that someone in the Fulbright office is a 30 Rock fan.
The cover for After Transformation. The @dukepress.bsky.social designers are just so great.

It's 2015. President Barack Obama has accepted a "sky palace" jumbo jet from the Qatari government, which he'll own after he leaves office. "Everybody relax," he says in an interview with the New York Times. Everyone does. The networks then televise the military parade in his honor on his birthday.
Actually they don't use the term byz so they are saved at least one letter this time!
Happy to see a bit of Byzantine art make it into today's @nytimes.com crossword.
Congratulations! This is very interesting!
This paper was a long time in the making - we'd wondered about #viking nicking on the #Newark torc for a very long time...
... and then the #Knaresborough ring turned up! π
Had a lot of fun writing this with @trixranderson.bsky.social

I'm probably mistaken, but glad that I know my posts are deleted.
This is how I understand it.
Quotation of Revelation 1:13, "And in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed in a robe to his feet and a golden sash on his female breasts." It includes the Greek text for "on his female breasts" at the end.
𧡠Biblical studies bsky is arriving! Let's talk Jesus, the Bible, and trans people
Trans people are dehumanized, blamed, demonized, and lied about. I'm not a political operative with clout, but I am a biblical scholar who studies gender in antiquity
So how about the trans Jesus of Revelation? 1/12
It must not be true because I haven't been active on there for a while. You need tweetxer because when you deactivate your account your tweets still exist for x do use how they wish. Tweetxer will delete them before you say goodbye for good.
Seeing as there are lots of introductions on here: my PhD research is looking at the material culture of Roman children, focussing on the site of Dura-Europos. Here are a couple of examples from the corpus of articulated bone dolls. Iβm also looking at infant feeding bottles & terracotta toys.
I am now officially Twitter/X free.
First I migrated all of my Tweets here using @blueark.app @en.blueark.app. Small fee!
Next I deleted all of my Tweets using tweetXer by @luca.run github.com/lucahammer/t.... Free!
Finally, I deactivated my Twitter/X account.

I donβt want to blow up this dipshitβs mentions but I would like to say this is my new favorite malapropism
Congratulations!
Casey Parks @caseyparks Final tally: According to data from @Ad_Impact , Republicans spent nearly $215 million on network TV ads that paint trans people as a national threat. This figure does not include cable or streaming ads. There are 1.6 million trans people over the age of 13 in the U.S.
The Trump campaign spent $134.38 on anti-trans ads for every single trans person that actually exists
Of course 20:26 on a Monday evening is the perfect time for new articles to be published! Especially if theyβre open access!
So if youβre interested in Artemis, Athenian religion, or clothing dedications here is my latest!

Detail of a lead ampulla showing a roundel with an image of Christ's Ascension.
One side of an ampulla featuring two pilgrims adoring the cross. A bust image of Christ is suspended at the upper end of the cross. The two thieves are shown on either side. A Greek inscription surrounds this image.
One side of an ampulla showing the two Marys at the tomb being greeted by an Angel. The word "Resurrection" is inscribed in Greek between Marys and the angel and above the aedicule. A greek inscription surrounds this image.
A detail of one side of an ampulla showing a cross under a canopy. It is surrounded by 12 bust images, presumably of the apostles. A ring of stars surround the apostles.
In Monza for the first time seeing the famous lead ampulla acquired by pilgrims ca. 600. The collection was possibly given by Gregory the Great to Queen Theodelinda around that same time. I photographed all 16 and labeled them according to Grabar's numbering:

Iβm going to share an expert secret about how to tell this isnβt a medieval illustration, that only someone with a PhD in history could possibly know: They didnβt sell beds made from metal tubing in Argos in the middle ages
