#IU has donated 10 million won to Yangpyeong-gun, to help vulnerable families stay warm this winter.
Since 2020, IU has contributed 145 million won to Yangpyeong-gun, where she owns a family country house.
Yup! Usual stuff during December all folks are like hibernating π
Site Update #1: Iβve now displayed all artists on a single page and added a search feature. Previously, I only showed artists grouped by the first letter of their names. A big thank you to the user who provided this feedback to improve the user experience. #kpop #fashion #buildinpublic
I did manual email outreach to various site owners (blogs, media, and related websites in my niche) last week, requesting a review of my site or a backlink. So far, only one has replied.
Google Search updates for koreanoutfits.com: Impressions are slowly going up, but clicks are still low. I still havenβt ranked for the βKorean outfitsβ keyword, which is expected since I need backlinks from multiple websites. Iβll focus on this in the coming year.

damn, time to write shitty CSS code again π©
whats the link for this π₯Ή
Interesting, do you have case studies from your previous clients? Not sure if my niche (fashion / ecommerce) will fit into your service.
Will watch Squid Game S2 tomorrow π₯Ή
merry christmas to yall!
just got back from vacation, time to work on @koreanoutfits.com π«‘, will fix some display issues on the site!
achieved first user signup for @koreanoutfits.com today π
Kidding aside, To accelerate my learning, I invested in @dannypostma.com 's SEO course. My dream is for koreanoutfits.com to rank on Google's first page when people search for "Korean outfits." #buildinpublic
SEO is one of the main reasons I started this projectβI wanted to learn and master it. While the results so far havenβt been impressive, I can see some progress even though I don't even know what I'm doing LMAO π

thank you!!
Some of my friends tried using Pinterest to promote engineering and tech content, but the traffic ain't worth the effort. π«
Woah thanks! I post outfits here www.pinterest.com/koreanoutfit.... Pinterest works for lifestyle, fashion, and art niches.
Iβll continue tomorrow my engineering work is piling up β οΈ
Next is Pinterest, and this is where Iβm most optimistic since my website is all about fashion. So far, Iβve only gotten 3 outbound clicks, but Iβm still experimenting with different CTAs. I also made the font size larger, though Iβm not sure yet if that will lead to more clicks. #buildinpublic
Instagram has been the toughest so far. Iβm not sure if Iβm shadowbanned or what, but my reach is pretty low compared to other accounts in my niche. Iβm not sure where Iβm going wrong. I posted two reels, and the reach was disappointing compared to my YouTube. #buildinpublic
I forgot that the page gained a single like yesterday.
The impressions and engagement have been great, but the conversion rate (from Facebook to my website) is still zero haha π« . But itβs only been two days, so Iβm not too concerned. The best part of this strategy is that my content can be easily reposted multiple times #buildinpublic
Ok here we go, finally had the spare time. Facebook, I was ready to drop Facebook, but over the past two days, Iβve started reposting my content in groups that resonate with it. My content features outfits worn by K-pop idols. #buildinpublic
Will do an "in-depth" analysis of my social media marketing platforms for the past month #buildinpublic
100 people that resonates with your content vs 1000 people that only exchanged a "follow" with you is like quality vs quantity.
Some people say that follow for follow is a good strategy, but in my defense, in the long term it will only hurt the growth of your platform since the person will only follow you for a "follow" and not for the content that you're producing.
It takes an insane amount of time to build a social media following and community. I solely manage IG, Facebook, Threads, X, Bluesky, Youtube and Pinterest for @koreanoutfits.com. So far in this 1 month journey, IG and Facebook has been the weakest in terms of engagement and impressions.
