Echoing don't mix your own if you've never done it before, and pace yourself! I've found canned mixed drinks to go down nice. I'd also take a look at a BAC chart and ABV calculator, so you can roughly estimate. Don't take it as gospel, but it's a good base to know how much a drink'll do to you.
