player he's clearly not. The good news is that opens time for Baty & Taylor to get work. Arguably 1/2 of it will be split among them w/Baty the primary understudy & Taylor the bench player. The hope is though if they need Robert they can leverage him & if he's healthy it should bring an advantage
Luis Robert Jr made his Spring debut w/the Mets yesterday. He's finally ready for on field work but it comes w/an accepted caveat... limited playing time. Not only now (as you'd expect) but all season long. Supposedly this has been the plan the whole time & while he's being called a "everyday"
IP back on 3/4/26 & gave up no runs in a MiLB game. His next step is a Grapefruit game before end of Spring. No word though since last week as to when that will be but apparently he's still on target.

Team Canada beat Cuba yesterday too meaning they will also advance to quarter finals while for the 1st time a long time Cuba finds itself booted out of the WBC in a round 1 pool elimination. That also means that Canada now takes on the US in the quarterfinals setting up all sorts of drama given the

Miami Heat player Bam Adebayo had a 83pt night in their 150-129 W over the Wizards. Yes that was the score not the number of shots taken. That puts Bam 2nd in point total to Wilt Chamberlain in NBA history. Wilt had an insane 100pt game points total in 1962. Bam passes Kobe Bryant who falls to 3rd

Mets pitcher McLean didn't have a good SP outing for Team USA yesterday in the Italy v US game. In 3IP he gave up 2H for 3R/ER made 2BB 4K w/2HR allowed. The HRs were the issue but the BB also put a runner on that lead to another R. It was a surprisingly subpar start after a very good Spring. It
