Seonghwa’s friends would eat him alive. “Maybe.” He picked up San’s coat from the love seat and held it open. San’s arms found the holes without breaking eye contact. “Let me walk you out,” Seonghwa said, letting his fingers linger a moment too long. The iron stairs sang beneath them. They stepped into the gallery, where a massive synth was droning, repeating a single note until it warped into something like laughter. Projected words read: I DREAMED I HAD TO TAKE A TEST IN A DAIRY QUEEN ON ANOTHER PLANET.
