I rushed around this morning to get 3,000 steps on my much loved but battered FitBit, then slow walked 141 more steps. Happy Pi Day everyone. I may have been an English major but I like to think I am a bit of a geek.
@george-barnes
Democracy dies in darkness. (Really, it does WAPO) Retired reporter and columnist who needs to write more but look - squirrels. Worked for the Telegram & Gazette in Worcester MA. Save journalism. Save our country. Drink coffee.

Needs "your" help again .... ๐ sorry. Typo.
Come on all you big strong men, Uncle Sam needs you help again. Got himself in a terrible jam. Way down yonder I-Ran. Whoopee we're all gonna die.
So much winning.
My thoughts exactly except the one I am thinking of doesn't have a small mustache. Wild celebrations will happen around the world.
Bend down and pet it.
He probably forgot he approved it. It is pretty crazy to do an ad campaign about the Secretary of Homeland Security even if she was not a weird cosplayer. The cosplaying does make her sound better than being the ICE cheerleader.
The dog murder would have been enough for me to get rid of her. There are many more extremely bad people in this administration.
Not the best photos, but I woke up this morning to a nice eclipse of the moon.
Wars rarely make sense but they should never be entered into without the intent of diplomacy and peace keeping. These violations of other countries feel like we are the invaders not the ones keeping the world safe :(
My moon flower trees are budding ;)
This is awful. It is a horror story.
Disgusting and exactly what I would expect from JD Vance and his puppy dog Oz.
The unhappiest creature in our yard today, except possibly me when I see the plows bury the end of my driveway again.
Good morning and to all the ships at sea. Of course no sane captain has his ship off the New England coast today.
This sounds about right
Good morning from the fog of MA.
I see so many people struggling just from the loss of what we always saw as normal - not perfect but normal. It is a collapse of foundations built on since we first won our freedom.
I feel like I thought like this all the time, but the horrible events of the past year have brought it more clearly into focus. On any level when I see hate and abuse I am stunned and outraged. It is good that I am responding like that to these daily outrages.
I don't think anyone should care what Obama said about aliens unless they are hoping to distract from the Epstein Files, horrible Ice abuse, Robert Kennedy Jr., Stephen Miller, Dr. Oz and many others and dismantling science, education, economic and other infrastructure and Trump family grifting.
Someone passed it along to me and being a patriotic person who loves what this country should be, it brought tears to my eyes. Musicians, writers, workers and others speaking out is the only way we can get this country back for everybody.
A beautiful song and so true.
Bad Bunny's half-time show was so good it reminded me of the many great Kennedy Center shows by the Obama, Biden and Clinton presidencies. It represented America in a profound and inclusive way. If, like Bad Bunny, we keep to our best American values, we can rise above the horror of Trump's hate.
Crazy stuff old people do. Sledding on our Patriots' Super Bowl weekend. Today is starting out at -5 degrees. I'll probably stay in for the day and watch the big game.
It really rips at the heart to understand how much Ukrainians have suffered from Russian cruelty.
This is worth sharing.
Make the rest of them act like human beings instead of rabid animals.
