Back in November, I attended the 25th Annual Conference of the @nbntrust.bsky.social both as an 'artist in residence' and a speaker.
I sketched during the talks to showcase some of the species recorded by people all over the UK, and spoke about integrating #eDNA into biodiversity data portals.
Really inspiring attending this day at the @goldsmithsuol.bsky.social Centre for Art and Ecology – possibly the world’s first university centre dedicated to this field!

The 2nd paper from my PhD was published! Here we designed and validated a qPCR assay for detecting Chinese mitten crab from eDNA, a top 100 global invasive species.
