I was watching the 1990 film βMiseryβ, directed by Rob Reiner and based on the novel by Stephen King. Itβs about a bestselling author (James Caan) who is rescued from a car accident by a former nurse (Kathy Bates) who claims to be his Number One Fan. Itβs a really gripping thriller.
I was watching the 1977 film βSuspiriaβ, directed by Dario Argento. Itβs a striking film with an incredible score from the band Goblin, and a lurid colours. The plot doesnβt really make a lot of sense, but that kind of adds to the dream-like quality of the film.
Book haul.
I was watching the 1924 film βSherlock Jr.β, which stars Buster Keaton as a cinema projectionist who dreams of being a detective and gets the chance to put his meagre crime fighting skills to the test when he is framed for stealing a watch. It is a very inventive silent comedy.
I was watching the 1949 film βTwelve OβClock Highβ about an American bomber squadron stationed in Britain during the Second World War. The film stars Gregory Peck as the tough new commanding officer. Itβs a really good war movie.
Iβm getting on with my Latin studies.
I was watching the 1984 film βFriday the 13th: The Final Chapterβ, in which masked killer Jason Voorhees hacks and slashes his way through another bunch of unlucky party-loving teens. Itβs actually one of the better of the series, itβs not great, but itβs fun for a late night slasher horror film.
