But they want us to roll over and be quiet, I don't think a blackout is the right call here. I think this is the time when we need to be loud and defiant, not to just do nothing and silence all our criticisms. As an NSFW artist I do not feel supported by seeing everyone just go silent :(
EXACTLYYY. I have a painting on my main account that's not sexual at all but features nudity, and it is automatically flagged as sexual content every single time and no amount of appealing ever gets it rolled back. Pisses me off!!
Also, people did not stop posting porn on tumblr after the ban. They stopped tagging. You can take fire and gasoline to a site and porn will still be there, now just out there without any protections that used to make it safe to navigate
And also? So much *consensual* art is going to be unfairly censored because the consent in a single illustration isn't always clear between what's noncon and what's just bdsm kink or even just an *ambiguous expression*, and art does not always come with context to tell you. This is a bad rule!!!
