Transferring between public and private is not and issue.

I think the Chicago Catholic League pulls in most of the good players and then you have low participation among those that are left. Both of the CPS teams we have played had maybe 30 kids on the varsity roster. IL makes it really hard to transfer between public schools without actually moving.

This is not a Nebraska only issue. My son's team is currently playing in the IL HS 6A playoffs. I think that every Chicago Pubic School team that made the playoffs this year and did not play another CPS team lost in the first round. I don't think any CPS teams made it out of the second round.
