Forgotten Land really is up there as one of Nintendo's best 3D games. The only thing that sucks is that the postgame can feel like busywork, but Star Crossed World is a great expansion.

Now that the beta is over I can say with the fullest confidence that CrossWorlds absolutely dogwalks Mario Kart World.
Can't speak for its quality as a remake but I'm actually kinda blown away by Trails in the Sky 1st so far? Feels like they pulled out all the stops for this.

It's weird being a somewhat cynical Pokémon and Sonic fan who finds himself pretty bewildered by the mixed reception of Z-A and CrossWorlds so far. I think both look great.

I'm really really glad that Z-A's cast seems mostly made up of young adults. Like half of the circumstances for the main characters are "yeah we're working here cause we needed a place to stay".

I hope Pokémon Legends always lets you play as some independent teenager/young adult who's away from their parents. Much as I enjoy Scarlet/Violet, having to play as an honest-to-god middle schooler really took me out of the roleplaying aspect of the game.

I got a new job that I actually rather love. It pays well and is in a good area, plus what I actually DO is intrinsically fulfilling. The only issue is that it takes a while to get there, but that's fine relative to how relaxed it is.

Been playing Battle Network 5 on-and-off in my spare time. One of the things I notice is that earlygame is *very* generous about giving you *code chips. It's like they want you to build decks that can synergize easily for the Liberation Missions. Makes the early hours pretty fun!
It's bad cause they're gonna be dated before long, but they're technically still closer to physicals (for the time being) since you can loan out or trade the key to friends and such.

Next few months are gonna prove to be very busy, if not outright draining. I have the N3 examination in July, will be going overseas twice, and will be doing a lot of traveling on top of doing personal projects and completing my job training. It'll be tough, but I hope I'm satisfied by the end of it
Completed a playthrough of Sonic Unleashed via the excellent fan decompilation. It's a good game, with a lot more weird contents than I remember (especially when factoring in the DLC levels). It's somewhat uneven at parts, and I think it has an outright bad endgame. That aside, I enjoyed myself.
Been keeping the hope but I won't lie when I say that life has just become more exhausting lately. Feels like my motivation has been increased in some ways and handicapped in others.
If Rion and/or Mitsuki were the focus girls instead of Asuka and Shiori, I'd prolly be willing to bump my thoughts on Tokyo Xanadu up by a whole letter grade.
