The stage is set at Hereford Cathedral for tonight's performance of Bach's St Matthew Passion
150 years ago today, Bedřich Smetana’s most famous and frequently performed symphonic poem “Vltava” was premiered in Prague’s Žofín Palace
To mark the occasion we have published a new facsimile edition of this work. Check it out on this link www.barenreiter.co.uk/vltava-the-m...
Toi toi toi to all!
Wishing Barenreiter composer Miroslav Srnka a very Happy 50th Birthday today

The “New Bach Edition” 117 music volumes and 101 Critical Reports have been published as part of the monumental “New Bach Edition”. Thousands of hours of musicological work went into this project, a “towering” achievement.

Over the last ten years this has been extremely successful enabling us to engage directly with the world's leading performers and conductors. Previous to this any contact had to be directly through their agents
😞
Hopefully you had lots of success as a result? 😀
Very true we need to sort this out as we are fairly new to this site ...
Sadly not ...
We are merely dipping our toe in the water here on Bluesky as indicated earlier as indicated by the few posts we have made here
Should you wish to follow our company activities in more depth try X, Facebook or Instagram where we attract millions of hits every year
The picture is self explanatory in this case - no description needed ...
Oh dear it appears that we failed here but of course these things do occasionally happen and we would hope that the majority of the time you would feel confident to trust us!
All the best
Today 20th March is the vernal equinox in the northern hemisphere; the first day of spring
It has been a long time coming but is very welcome!
Thanks for coming back to me with the information. I can confirm that concerning K.456, BA5385-90: the printing error was already corrected in the 2011 print-run. Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused
Sorry but that means nothing to me, Excuse my ignorance
I need more help - what is it from. Work? Edition number? Page number? only then can I help you ...
Delighted that you are happy here Christian. Matthew Rose less so as this was a response to his original post. I have to say that I miss your presence and many others on X but I do know where to find you!
We do, of course, need to use social media to keep out name in the public eye. With the massive decline in print music media we have to do everything possible to inform potential customers of our activities and Twitter/X plays a small role in this
We very much appreciate your support for our catalogue Sharon!
Our general engagement on Twitter is extremely high and increasing. As an international company we reach out to potential interested customers all over the world and as yet Bluesky does not appear to be expanding in the way one might have hoped. We will keep monitoring this and act accordingly
Perhaps you are right but I hope not ...
We have a very limited presence here but Twitter is still very much our home.
Initially many left X but our followers over there are now growing again considerably
Good thinking 😀
Time for some blue sky thinking!
It is indeed Andrew - do let me know if you want a hire quote ...
I really love Schubert, Winterreise and am just waiting for:
Laß irre Hunde heulen
Vor ihres Herren Haus
when all hell will break loose!
