Fair enough
Fair enough
I know Iβm losing weight because my face doesnβt look AS fat when I see my reflection in my Switch 2 screen
Iβm not gonna lie, for those first couple months of only Mario Kart World and DK Bananza, the Switch 2 wasnβt really feeling like a new console.
But now with almost the whole 1st party lineup having been released to pretty great reviews, itβs starting to feel like its own thing
I'm just glad DK Bananza was nominated for GOTY. Doesn't have to win (although would be really cool if it did...) it's just nice to see DK getting recognized as one of the best games of the year at the Game Awards. #TheGameAwards
Mario Kart World not nominated for best soundtrack? Come onnnnnn #TheGameAwards
Nintendo fans have a habit of getting overly annoyed with companion characters who make a lotta noise. Slippy, Navi, Baby Mario, Wonder Flower, hell even some people complained about Pauline in Bananza.
Personally, I think a lot of the hate is overblown. Myles seems okay.
I was honestly surprised there was no Tony Hawk or Guitar Hero games⦠unless I missed them
And now we get the man-child Nintendo fans who have never watched a grown-up movie asking βErm, who the hell is Benny Safdie?β
Games Iβve played over 10 hours. A pretty big list lmao. Definitely the βB-Tierβ of Switch games imo. Except for Legends Arceus, Metroid Dread and Mario Odyssey. I enjoy Odyssey more and more as time goes on.
Games Iβve played over 50 hours. For some reason I feel like I enjoy these games more than the ones in my <100 hours
The games I have over 100 hours in. No surprise that the N64 app has over 400 hours logged. Also, the only reason New Leaf is there is because my sister played it on my DS. I never got into it. Also kinda crazy to see I have more hours in Smash for Wii U than Ultimate.
Lmao out of all the games and apps across Nintendo consoles, the one Iβve used the most is Netflix on Wii U with over 1500 hours logged. Thatβs a lot of rewatches of Family Guy, Breaking Bad and The Office
I am the biggest Tomodachi Life fan who has never played the game.
Rolled credits on Z-A. Overall, I give it a 7/10. While the gameplay is a lot of fun, the story, visuals, characters and world just donβt do it for me. Iβll definitely be playing the DLC, but this was a step down from Arceus for me. Not a giant step down but a step down nonetheless.
I got an email that my BlueSky account was taken down but itβs clearly not. Also, wasnβt a scam or anything, itβs the official βno replyβ email. No links or anything, so idk whatβs going on.

A poem by Gregg Mayles, including a photo of him looking out at the countryside with Googly Eyes. A Rather Resplendent Rewarding Rare Ramble Grant me moments of your time, To tell a story versed in rhyme, In eighty nine this tale does start, When famous wall did fall apart. Still standing tall a lad left school, Who'd employ this daydreaming fool? A chance arose to go into banking, Choice he ignored and forever thanking, Local paper had tiny ad, Go join Rare? WHAT! You must be mad! He tested games then got into design, Which somehow turned out reasonably fine, Mentored by the Ultimate greats, Expectations of Rare game traits, Each game adding to his skills, A memorable ride of many thrills, First three toads and then some apes, Donkey, Diddy, barrels of japes, Grand adventures of bird and bear, Whacking Ghoulies with haunted chair, Critters of paper in gardening charm, Sporting parties waving leg and arm, Sailing pirates through stormy weather. Players creating stories together, Others too, much less well known, With Rare magic in them sown, Wonderful games made by splendid teams, Enchanting players have been their dreams, The Ruby Ramble one final chapter. Of lovingly crafted games and laughter, For here is where this story ends, Thirty six years it's been my friends, For come the day October fourteen, At Manor Park then no longer seen, His sack of fun upon his back, To set off down a different track, Leaving behind some parting advice, Have no fear, it's helpful and nice, If captivating players is what you seek, Keep on making Rare games unique! Now time to start new tales to tell, Farewell to Rare he waves, farewell! Gregg
Today was Gregg Mayles' last day at Rare. He posted this lovely little farewell over on social media. Since he's not on Bluesky, I hope he doesn't mind me sharing it here.
There's probably no video game designer, let alone creative mind, who has had as much of a positive impact on my life as Gregg.

So all that anger over Super Mario 3D All-Stars and once Galaxy and Sunshine drop, youβll be able to play all of those games on Switch 2. So, all that Nintendo was βgatekeepingβ was the menu at the beginning of the game. People need to learn to relax.
Donkey Kong Island, as it appears in the Donkey Kong Bananza DLC. The face appears on the island.
DONKEY KONG BANANZA PAID DLC LATER TODAY! WE RETURN TO DONKEY KONG ISLAND! THEY'VE RECARVED THE FACE, FOLKS. #NintendoDirect
Eat your heart out, Palworld. #NintendoDirect #PokemonPokopia
Nintendo, for the love of God, my wallet CANNOT take this shit #NintendoDirect
It gets better as it goes on. I had the same problems at first
I have the same top 3!
Got into the Switch Online Playtest program! Not sure how exclusive this is compared to the last one, but Iβm excited!
You can tear the flesh right off their bodies and then stick it back on to them. Nintendoβ always going for the βout thereβ ideas
DK Bananza is already my GOTY. And not even just because of the gameplay, even little stuff like the menu transitions are perfect. Switch 2 is off to an incredible start.
