Reddy was used in many ways across the years and companies who used him, but usually he was a friendly and helpful presence, not like the image here, but it’s one that catches the imagination.
Reddy Kilowatt is a character created by Ashton B. Collins, Sr. in 1926 to humanize & market electricity. The sculpture pictured is created by Larry Albright. This iconic symbol functions as an electrode, sending a charge through gas in the plasma sphere.
