People are not just trying to sound smart, they're reading into regular generalised themes of Jesus's life and coming out of that with an appreciation for what it seems Jesus may have advocated for. And being seen as revolutionary not just for 2000 years ago, but even today, seems commendable.

These consistent messages are what people are understandably basing their interpretations upon when they argue he was a good person because and especially for the time he was. If this consistency throughout the gospels on these particular themes is any indication. And that's a good model to follow.

But the consistent messaging throughout the gospel traditions is that Jesus advocated for loving your neighbour, that all were your neighbours, that the weak, downtrodden, and needy should be cared for, and as many prophets before him, that he would have mercy before justice.

Even then mosaic law is not some inherent evil, though it may have been archaic for the time and written primarily to suit the functions of power of Judahite elites and the grievances of exiled members, it does feature several through lines and practices that Jesus may have advocated for.

As for his supposed advocacy of mosaic law this too is inserted by gospel authors and is a point of contradiction between gospels as well as between early Christian ideals at the time. Christians largely settled on (selectively) rejecting mosaic law.

The 'I bring not peace but a sword' rhetoric that mentions broken families is an early Christian poetic literary device designed to inspire followers in the face of potential opposition from others, including family members, but certainly wasn't uttered by Jesus himself.

You're not looking too smart either in referring to the rhetorical goals of gospel authorship, which was inconsistent and contradictory, as if they were the values that Jesus held. That's obviously unprovable and a ridiculous notion to solely base your interpretation of the historical figure off.

My partner and I could use some more people to play with if it's ok to add you?

Maintenance is such an intimidating area, both in its grand architecture and the confusing clusterfuck it becomes to fight in... It all looks so incredible though!

Been having a lot of fun with it, it's so stylish!

I do not understand not offering royalties to cover artists, it plays a huge part in selling books or albums...

Also it ignores just what 'intervening' means exactly from western countries...
This was never about the humanity and safety of civilians.

It's been amazing to play, the environments are gorgeous and somehow the PvP isn't so bad to engage with? The whole visual and thematic identity of this game is immaculate and fits so well with the originals. Really well done to you and everyone else who worked on it!

That's straight up just racism from the BBC and BAFTAs, a deliberate choice was made to subject black audiences to racism. Fucking disgraceful...

I discussed elsewhere about how the BBC and BAFTAs made a deliberate choice to retain the N-word and it turns out it wasn't even consistently applied to him...

The BBC were diligent in removing references to Palestine, the word Piss, and even other slur tics, but not the N-Word?!!!

It's amazing just how clearly propogandising many movies are but people just do not have any of the skills to recognise that and question it...

No wonder some people believe some absurd things...

It seems to be a go to means of convincing huge swaths of people that cities, and all the people of colour, migrants, and leftists within are bad and scary and you should never visit for too long, and vote for your Murdoch approved god fearing fascist today!!

This shit happens elsewhere too, if you were to believe rural people (or more accurately the media owned by very specific people, person even) both London, England and Melbourne, Australia, are currently hellholes where innocent people are being violently stabbed at every street corner...

(don't be sorry, I was actually imagining that being said in Hondo's voice. He may be charming but he is frustratingly dangerous to those around him)

Your comment is literally an argument responding to others so you were in fact looking to 'debate', but you're calling me belligerent simply for responding that the concept is still impracticable and harmful... You're just as random as anyone else on the internet.

Buzzwords are simply not how something as complex as nutrition works. They're not useful categories.

Simple sugars, even when not 'ultra processed' for example, would still not be healthy to eat as is as it would still be too much for your daily intake of carbohydrates.

Meanwhile, many claim that seed oils are ultra processed yet despite that they are still demonstrably healthier than animal fats.

If there were a way of turning the concept into something 'scientifically meaningful and actionable' don't you think that would have been done already?
Such a concept cannot apply across food groups, it simply isn't possible, nor would it be meaningful.
