it’s 10pm and i’m talking to a client that will likely be a felon all because she can’t pay court costs. not a broken society in the slightest!!!!

an eluding where they neither saw him or caught him and he starts describing the driver of the cop car chasing him and how much they suck at it.

i’m always one to point out when a cop sucks but you know, not when IT IS THE ONLY THING THAT TIES YOU TO THE CRIME

they ask him if he wants a lawyer.

“no, i’ll be fine!”

he was not fine.

the best thing about my job is having a winnable case that’s hard for the commonwealth to prove and a client who swears up and down he never said anything. and then getting discovery and there’s a five hour long interview where he says everything
