NSW public schools have 1 hour of “scripture” (special religious education) each week and parents can choose streams such as Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Protestant, Hindu, Islam, and non religious ethics.

We signed the kindergarten child up for Protestant scripture, and in his school it’s taught by a Sydney Anglican (Lord only knows what their background in theology education is), and he brought this home from his FIRST scripture class ever.
