Our dependency on fossil fuels makes us vulnerable. Wars across the world are pushing up prices for households in the UK.
Why keep waiting for the next crisis? We need to transition to clean power as fast as we can to protect people and our economy.

I think Jonathan Ross blocking anyone trans/allies was pretty funny tbh
It's true that the Tories stuffed NHS institutions with transphobes, but not removing (or sidelining) them was 100% a Labour decision. This latest surge in transphobia (including the Supreme Court decision, which they could have overturned but didn't) is 100% Labour policy and 100% Labour's fault.
Did she say that Labour are the only bad guys or are you correcting something she didn't say?
Photo of Graham Lineham and "Maya Peace Poet" on detrans awareness day
Couldn't they get any actual detransitioners, rather than someone who wore a binder for a week, had no other interventions, and "detransitioned" after "surviving the October 7th attacks" (by dint of being Jewish on that day, not because she was ANYWHERE near it)?
Withdrawing healthcare from young trans people is an act of violence.
Just like the Cass Review, it's easy to say 'there's no evidence' when you exclude the vast majority of the available evidence from your homework paper.
Firstly, they're not his policies, policies are decided by party members. If you don't understand the basics of how the Green party functions then you're ill equipped to participate in a conversation about their policies, especially because I doubt you're getting your info from reliable sources.
Unless you're a billionaire you don't need to worry about their tax rates. If you're not one now you'll never be one, it won't impact you

Bit weird that every UK Drag Race winner has been white though
The political effects of X's feed algorithm https://doi.org/10.1038/s41586-026-10098-2 Received: 16 December 2024 Accepted: 4 January 2026 Published online: 18 February 2026 Open access โข Check for updates Germain Gauthier,5, Roland Hodler?5, Philine Widmer35 & Ekaterina Zhuravskaya3,4,5 m Feed algorithms are widely suspected to influence political attitudes. However, previous evidence from switching off the algorithm on Meta platforms found no political effects'. Here we present results from a 2023 field experiment on Elon Musk's platform X shedding light on this puzzle. We assigned active US-based users randomly to either an algorithmic or a chronological feed for 7 weeks, measuring political attitudes and online behaviour. Switching from a chronological to an algorithmic feed increased engagement and shifted political opinion towards more conservative positions, particularly regarding policy priorities, perceptions of criminal investigations into Donald Trump and views on the war in Ukraine. In contrast, switching from the algorithmic to the chronological feed had no comparable effects. Neither switching the algorithm on nor switching it off significantly affected affective polarization or self-reported partisanship. To investigate the mechanism, we analysed users' feed content and behaviour. We found that the algorithm promotes conservative content and demotes posts by traditional media. Exposure to algorithmic content leads users to follow conservative political activist accounts, which they continue to follow even after switching off the algorithm, helping explain the asymmetry in effects. These results suggest that initial exposure to X's algorithm has persistent effects on users' current political attitudes and account-following behaviour, even in the absence of a detectable effect on partisanship.
A new paper shows that less than 2 months of exposure to Twitterโs algorithmic feed significantly shifts peopleโs political views to the right.
Moving from chronological feed to the algorithmic feed also increases engagement.
This is one of the most concerning papers Iโve read in awhile.
It's truly disturbing watching trans people, mostly trans women, who are still regularly on X get their brains cooked in real time and start internalizing anti trans positions and try to police the community or give into far right framings. You are not immune from the propaganda.
So sad, and so unnecessary. We offered a legal indemnity, against all legal risks, to the leadership of Women's Institute, and Girlguiding, so they could continue to include all women.
Both declined.

Kevin Maguire: "The prime minister will want Kemi Badenoch to ask about the war in Iran, because he is with public opinion, very much opposed"
He's allowing the US to use British military bases to bomb Iran. Does that sound like somebody opposed to the war?
I think the argument I try to make in this blog post is important for precisely this reason. They are trying to read down gender reassignment in a way that allows them to deny people the opportunity to reassign. ukconstitutionallaw.org/2026/03/09/r...
Either he thinks people are too credulous to check his claims about personally having experienced it, or he's hallucinating.
And, given his usage of Twitter and AI chat bots, it legit could be either
Omid Djalili @omid9 Amplified. More detailed than all the western news media outlets covering it combined. It is absolutely crucial. Those of us with lived experience of the Islamic regime in Iran are being shouted down by people who do not believe us and cannot conceive that a regime would do this to their own people. The recent massacres are being downplayed and ignored, despite repeated warnings that if they can do this to their own people, what will they do to others? The sane among us always said that while the Internet is cut and independent investigators are not allowed near the bomb site to check missile fragments, the truth will never out. What is even more shocking is the children who died were being used to build missiles. They would have been among the many homeless orphans taken from the streets and groomed to become future IRGC members. This will go down as one of the saddest and most depraved events in history.
Omid Djalili is an English comedian, actor, and writer of Iranian descent. He began his career at the 1995 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and has gone on to become a touring comedian with a substantial list of film and television appearances. Born September 30, 1965 (age 60 years), Kensington, London, United Kingdom

โ ๏ธ PUBLIC HEALTH WARNING: We believe NHS England and DHSC policy on transgender healthcare shows signs of ideological capture by the gender critical movement. Current decisions risk serious harm to trans people and undermine evidence-based care.

Extract from Impact Assessment. NHS England is separately reviewing the evidence for the use of MAF in adults with gender dysphoria, with the aim of a consultation on the evidence later in 2026.
Given that every 'evidence review' under Labour is conducted to 'build the evidence case against' can there be any real doubt about how this ends?
The complete removal from the NHS, and possible criminalization, of all medication for trans people.
@annehealthcare.bsky.social have produced a very useful guide about what to do if your GP stops your hormones prescription or refuses care. Remember you have rights and options, and they have legal, ethical and professional obligations.
wes streeting is now conducting one of his fake 'reviews' in to adult hrt care on the nhs.
you should switch to diy hrt immediately bcos they're going to ban transition on the nhs.
remember this the next time @lucympowell.bsky.social or @darrenpjones.bsky.social say 'unity not division'.
