I got my start in the hobby with 2nd Ed Warhammer 40k when I was a kid. After a long break I came back to the hobby and it's taken 5-6 years back at the painting desk to circle more or less back to the beginning. Technically this is a new sculpt in the old style, but it feels like home.

#OTD 10/3/2017 #RememberRCN -HMCS ATHABASKAN (3rd) paid-off. She is the last of four Iroquois class destroyers to be in service with the #RCNavy. At the time she was the worlds oldest active destroyer having been commissioned on 30 Sept 1972.

Very glad that @battlebrushstudios.bsky.social convinced me into 10mm... really like how this stand of 3 infantry has worked out.

This is one of the best glow ups of the new battletech plastics (tied with the Executioner IMHO) and an amazing mini on it's own

Bloodcrusher. I never liked chaos space marines, but I always was very curious regarding these semi mechanical mounts

There are models I have wanted to paint for years, just for the sake of it.

Very productive evening, finishing the last (kinda) buildings for my Montcornet table ahead of HoL this sat. The townhall is a placeholder as the real town hall scratch build is delayed (I made it too large..). All are 3d prints that are reentered etc. Plus painted 30ft of latex road!

My half company of Great War poilus is done. All that's left is some machine guns and mortars (and maybe a Saint-Chamond, and a couple more 75s, and...)

My British foraging party are engaging across the back paddock. They’ve spied some tasty pillaging treats!

A bit more progress. I like to get the command done first and then work my way down the sprue. It gives me something to aim for when completing each subsequent base. 👍

A saker, a small artillery piece made from 13.5mm figures on a circular base.

A culverin, a larger piece.

A command stand including a mounted figure and an ensign carrying the Royal Standard.

A few more stands complete for my English Civil War Pike and Shotte army. Two cannon and a command stand which will be King Charles and the Royal Standard. These smaller bases are a nice quick project that helps break up the infantry.
