Dear diary: it’s been awhile. Holidays, the flu, it was a lot. Grateful for the Seahawks smackdown. Life is oddly heavy & sad lately. We’re all just trying to get along, love one another & live as freely as possible. Imagine being in leadership & hating all the citizens even those who voted for you

Minnesota is retribution on Walz for being the most likable VP candidate, ever. He tried retribution on CA for Harris; but failed. Regrouped & is coming hard for MN. Everything is a distraction from his heinous behavior in the files. Release the Trumpstein files.

Some special person keeps reporting me on 🧵 for what idk. Cat & yard content? The occasional warranted jab at govt? This is my 3rd time. I’m wondering if there’s a 5x purple velvet jacket club.

Most young women my age had posters of 80’s rockers or horses in their dorm room. I had a b&w poster of Newman & Redford from Butch Cassidy. Even then, I had an eye for quality. Thanks for memories, Robert Redford you charismatic & creative soul.

Here’s my cat doing the thing that required me to climb a ladder before a cup of joy this am. She’s like a D1 athlete. I call her breed a “Ottocento Pantera.” Shes an $800 panther. She was mostly feee except a vet visit for “dehydration” & vet spa-day, hence the $800. She’s unstoppable.

How do weather forecasters “be more appropriate?” This guy doesn’t appear to know what’s up.

Many days of rain on the agenda here in the PNW. Looks like no mowing for awhile. Birds are tweeting g loudly with joy. You know you’re native when you’re glad for it.

I think we all need more of this.

My sleep number score is in a free-fall since 1/20. Last night this am I decided to get up and be up awhile. That’s when I saw this gem. Winter insomnia is a thing for me. It will pass. Like FOTUS one day will magically disappear.

Outside last evening looking at the Cold Moon & hoping the Lions can heal up and get back to the grind.

Sort of looks like someone is watching us & we’re all just floating around a little snow-globe on a shelf somewhere, thinking we’re the center of it all. 🌏🌍🌎

Apparently I’m missing Build-your-ark season in the PNW while out east. Not sad about that.

In the gray of the days, I like to look at my garden from a mere few weeks ago. Whatever it takes to get through the big dark time.

The Arbutus Madrona trees of the San Juan’s are what the boat is named for. They grow under impossible circumstances, need to be near salt water & salty-air ions. And they’re indigenous to a very specific part of the west coast and Canada. Relatable!

Aside from politics, landscape design and Pilates, I’m an avid PNW boater. I’m Chief of the Boat, Bosun & Chief Stew on Madrona. Women in boating, where you at?

PNW is heaven. But don’t move here. We’re full.
