tomorrow, it will be 3 years since my grandad passed away. he was always super supportive of me and i loved him to pieces. he always found ways to make me smile and i miss his laugh. he was a coal miner, an amazing gardener, a proud yorkshire man and an incredible grandad.

Milo, a rescued street cat. He is 2.5 years old and is very chatty and curious. He is a black cat with green eyes, peering out of a fuzzy cat bed.

Sweep, a 7 year old brown tabby cat who lived on the streets with her mum, Pepper. She has green eyes, a light hazel nose, and lovely dark markings.

Here is Pepper getting a good fuss from a volunteer. She is a 10 year old ginger and black cat who lived on the streets with her daughter, Sweep. She loves cuddles and fusses.

Kiefer and Teddy, two cats who have been at the shelter a long time. They are both black and they have green/yellow eyes. They are elderly and live spending time together. They are snuggled up in a grey cat bed, enjoying being cosy in the heated cattery.

These are some of the lovely cats you will be helping that are staying in the rescue:

I'll be staying in an in/outdoor kennel this Saturday in temperatures around 3 ~ 6°c, all to help out the cats currently staying at the shelter, for cats that have been sleeping rough on the streets for their whole lives, and for cats that have surrendered and have nowhere to live.

I'm trying to raise £250 to help Noah's Ark Pet Rescue provide shelter for cats this winter.
I'm taking part in a fundraising event where I'll be sleeping in outdoor kennels overnight to raise awareness for the estimated 250,000 cats in the UK without a home this winter.

Any donations given to help out in this fundraiser will help Noah's Ark Pet Rescue house cats that have been surrendered, cats that have nowhere else to go, and cats that have been living on the streets in the cold. Any amount is more than enough to help out. ❤️🐱

This is all to raise awareness for homeless cats struggling to survive on the streets in the UK this winter. They have to struggle to find shelter, warmth, food, and safety, all whilst fighting disease, fleas, worms, and the cold.

The fundraising event is taking place on the 7th of February 2026, and lasts 20 hours. I will be placed in one of up to 12 teams of 4, and we will be given chances to earn hot drinks, snacks, access to a heated area and more through activities. I will be sleeping in a covered outdoor kennel.

£250 will be enough for Noah's Ark Pet Rescue to take in a cat off the streets, spay/neuter them, provide vaccinations, fleaing/worming, microchipping, a space in a heated cabin and fresh food for them until they can find the cat a home.
