Surprisingly, thee DHS police surrounded the van that was harassing us and chased it away, effectively protecting us protesters. It was a positive outcome in a tense situation. 3/3
A large black van was circling the block, blasting right-wing rap music with lyrics about Charlie Kirk. It stopped in front of the protesters. We were giving it right back at them. Suddenly, about six DHS police officers burst out of the courthouse in full military gear. 2/3
I had my first encounter with DHS agents at a rally at the federal court in San Diego where they conduct immigration hearings. It was a well attended rally with a rock group and various speakers. A group of people broke off to go to the curbside and wave our signs at the traffic. 1/3
