- democratic backsliding and "kitchen table" issues are linked; a functioning democracy doesn't have unilateral tariffs and bribes
- Democrats can either hype bipartisanship or correctly identify the Republican threat to democracy; they can't have it both ways

If you use dry food, I HIGHLY recommend a robotic / automated feeder. Gets you entirely out of the feeding equation. We have a cat who used to bang on the shutters above our bed to wake us up for feeding and the robot stopped it.
