Demanding that someone be 100% polite to 100% of people or else they are 100% bad and deserve to be punished is abusive, especially w/ added stress. That's setting them up for failure with guaranteed cruel consequences & that's abusive. Putting people on a pedestal & acting on emotions is abusive.
Gooseworx deserves better. Every artist out there doing their best to make content for you, available for free, while also doing their best to be decent people deserve better. We should not be treating creators and their works as public property.
I think fans of indie shows need to be reminded of the fact that regardless of how much you love a show, the story being told is not yours & may not play out how you like it. It is not the end of the world and you don't need to go out of your way to make people feel bad for it. That's weird.
I will say the closest I've come to gender euphoria was when I was a lot slimmer and had a buzz cut and people genuinely had a hard time telling my gender. My reply was always "I'm a girl, but thank you for asking! :)" because it genuinely made me happy that people couldn't tell.
